Women’s World Cup Championship
The final match for the Women’s World Cup match was held in Vancouver BC Canada on Sunday July 5th 2015.
Carli Lloyd of the US team was no less than phenomenal with 2 scores within the first 5 minutes. Holiday for the US scored the 3rd goal. Carli Lloyd came back and scored another goal in the first half ,thereby scoring a first ever hat trick for the American team. This brought the Us team to a 4-0 lead and “the fastest 4 goals in Women’s World Cup history”. (mlssoccer.com).
The most amazing goal had to be a 60 yard strike by Carli Lloyd way past the halfway point of the field. WHAT A SHOT and will probably be played in the best of reels for many years to come.
The final of the game was USA 5 and Japan 2 going into the record books as the highest scoring Women’s World Cup final in history. A truly historic game and I hope you patriots had a chance to watch it. If not find the replays on the internet, well worth your time and effort.
CONGRATULATIONS USA WOMEN’S WORLD CUP CHAMPIONS first time since 1999!!
