PATRIOT MOVIE PICK

Patriots must see: if you like action-packed wall to wall entertainment. Personally I love this type of film and believe this is the best film of the Fast and Furious franchise.

This film opens up with Jason Statham (bad guy) going after all of Dominic’s (Vin Diesel’s) crew over revenge for hurting his brother in earlier Furious 6. Jason is truly a wrecking ball and I like him in most of his roles with the exception of Cranked. His martial arts skills and his stone cold attitude really bring a machismo attitude to his character.

The storyline basically begins in California and then goes global hopping and one of my favorite action scenes takes place in Dubai United Arabs Emirates. You have probably seen the scenes from the trailers where they were jumping an expensive sports car from one high rise building to another. Special effects throughout the film were spectacular. I also loved the fight scene between Ronda Rousey and Michelle Rodriquez (Letty Ortiz). I loved the martial arts throughout this film.

Like I said from the beginning to the end you are on the edge of your seat because of the constant action. Well I certainly have to mention Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) when you mention action scenes. He hasn’t met an action movie yet that he wasn’t a part. Seriously have you seen a hard core action in the last few years where he wasn’t starring. He certainly “brings it” in all of his roles and his physique is unparalleled.

All of the characters were fantastic and I give Kudos to all of the actors. The most notable understory that most fans of the series are aware, is the untimely death of Paul Walker (Brian O’Conner) near the end of filming. The last few scenes of the movie were truly heart - wrenching with scenes from earlier movies showing Paul. A surprising and touching final scene played by Paul Walker’s lookalike brother.

Overall this was a fantastic movie if you love fast cars, martial arts and explosions you’ll love this film. As far as the minuteman is concerned what’s not to like.
