On November 23^rd our current El Presidente’ Barack Obama came out for his (Thank God) last pardoning of Thanksgiving turkeys. This tradition dates back to 1947 when the chairman of the National Turkey Federation presents a turkey to the President of the United States, who subsequently pardons one or both birds. This year the lucky birds are named Tater and Tot. After they are pardoned they will shipped to Virginia Tech and spend the rest of their lives in luxury and opulence.

President Obama started off with “and it is my great privilege --- well, it’s my privilege --- actually let’s just say it’s my job--- to grant them clemency this afternoon. As I do, I want to take a moment to recognize the brave turkeys that weren’t so lucky, who didn’t get to ride the gravy train to freedom --- who met their fate with courage and sacrifice – and proved they weren’t chicken. 11/23/2016 www.whitehouse.gov.

President Obama stated that “Americans take a Thursday in November to express gratitude and granting pardons to express our belief in second chances”. Well this speech was stuffed full of corny jokes I must say President Obama is quite an Orator and can deliver a speech like no other, I just wish he was on our side. He did mention that all Americans need to forget our differences and come together as one people. I certainly agree with that sentiment I just want the Democrats to come see our way of thinking instead of their communist/socialist ranting. Otherwise it was a good speech and was very entertaining. I guess there is only one more Turkey to Pardon, it is a flightless bird that tends to scream like a banshee, it would be the “Hildabird”. Anyway I guess we are going to have to quit the Obama Administration COLD TURKEY!!!
