Greetings fellow patriots, you know I have struggled with how to address Memorial Day, do you say Happy Memorial Day or just say have a good Memorial Day. I suppose both are correct, but I like have a” Good Memorial Day” a little better because depending on circumstances some survivors of the veterans we honor with this day of praise definitely have raw feelings with this holiday and understandably appropriate. Sometimes and in most circumstances the loss of a relative in service to their country is a painful and trying ordeal but a good deal are veterans survived service and passed from natural causes. In either case I do believe saying have a “Good Memorial Day” is the more appropriate response! The most important thing we as Patriotic Americans is to honor our Veterans both living and deceased as well as our soldiers that are serving today in our military both domestically and overseas! Remember an older song by renowned Country artist Billy Ray Cyrus and I believe one of his best works “All Gave Some, Some Gave All! That one title sums up the endearing devotion our servicepeople bring to the dedication of their jobs, Boom Shocka Locka!!!!!

Patriots, we are truly blessed to live in a Free Country and if you think about it, the United States of America is the only country in the world that allows its citizens to be FREE! But make no mistake and as President Reagan was famous for quoting “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction”! Our military is at the focal point of protecting our country from external threats, such as Communist China or Russia! That is where Veterans Day and Memorial Day acts as a tribute to our great American Military and their devotion to keeping us a Free Country, against enemies both foreign and domestic! Another of my favorite country songs and was playing when my unit debarked after being deployed overseas, “God Bless the Usa” by Lee Greenwood! In my opinion, this is a song that truly depicts my sentiments and feelings for the Greatest Country in the world and our Great Military helps keep it that way, “Have a Good Memorial Day”!!!!!!
