Letter to Senators and Congress
Good morning, Patriots!
This is a copy of my letter to my Senators. I also would like to note that I also wrote to my congressman as well. I hope all of you will take the time to do the same, as this is our most important right as an American citizen.
Mr. Spry,
Please relay to Mr. Warnock that his constituents believe we should lift the oil drilling ban in the United States and open drilling. Yes, we have heard about the 9,000 leases not being used, but if you know anything about that, those leases are given before exploration can be done to know if it is worth drilling there or not.
I would like to propose this: if we need oil (and we do), why should we rely on other countries around the globe to provide us with this product when we can pump it ourselves? We have the Permian Basin and also Alaska. We can out produce other countries, AND we can do it in a way that is more efficient and safer for the environment than our counterparts.
We need to get a lid on this before our economy collapses. Surely no one really believes that the solution is to release oil from our STRATEGIC BARREL RESERVES! There are 2 very important words in that title: STRATEGIC and RESERVES. The SBR is intended to be used to help America in a time of National crisis i.e., China/Russia invading, not because the gas prices are too high. What do you think is going to happen if we deplete our reserves and we somehow (albeit unlikely) get invaded? What do we fight on? How many of our tanks and HMWVVs run on solar? What about our fighter jets that are used for strategic defense? Are they powered by solar or wind? Nope.
To quote our esteemed President, "Come on, man." What are we thinking?
I am all for green energy. I recycle. I want the world to be a better and cleaner place. However, I want all these things to happen in a reasonable and responsible manner. I don't think lowering our defenses and depleting our RESERVES is the right answer.
