Congratulations, Houston Astros the new World Series Champions, now you can finally say “We Are The Champions”!!! The Houston Astros have never won this coveted award in the history of their franchise, in fact they were the last place team back in 2014. They made a prediction and summoned a Sports Illustrated reporter Ben Reiter to write an article chronicling their prediction and aspirations. The caption on the cover page states “Baseball’s Great Experiment”. In the article which I didn’t read, described the teams plans on how to reach their lofty goal, from last place to World Champions!!

I am not a super big baseball guru so I watched mainly highlights but kept up as the Series progressed. The Series came down to the last game and was being played in the LA Dodgers stadium. So here is the matchup we have Two Fairly evenly matched baseball teams the LA Dodgers and the consummate underdogs, The Houston Astros, mixing it up to claim the World Series title. It came down to the wire with a 3-3 tie going into the final game, the suspense is killing me and everything is on the line for the final matchup. It seems the LA Dodgers have the upper hand with home field advantage and if the final game is anything like game six it is going to be a nail biter. As far as championship games it was not that titillating, Houston went up 5 runs in the first 2 innings. Lance McCullers started for the Astros and had 2- 1/3 scoreless innings. Charlie Morton followed up and allowed 1 run after 4 innings. The game ended with the Houston Astros at 5 runs and the LA Dodgers at 1. A 5-1 finish in game 7 make the HOUSTON ASTROS the 2017 WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS!!! BOOYAH, GET YOU SOME OF THAT!!

Houston is still dealing with the catastrophic Hurricane Harvey, they collectively were very celebratory following “The Cinderella Story” of the Houston Astros coming and predicting from last place to World Series Champions in three short years!! An absolutely outstanding achievement, congratulations HOUSTON ASTROS!! I also want to take time to commend the professional baseball association in using their collective heads and honoring our first responders, military and our great country by standing and saluting our National Anthem and our Flag!! BOOYAH, BOOM SHOCKALOCKA!! Congratulations once again to World Series Champions Houston Astros for sticking to a game plan and executing it to the pinnacle of success in baseball. I predicted the Astros would win but was unable to write an article until now, congratulation HOUSTON ASTROS!!!
