Cuba Our Newest Ally?
So Cuba is our newest ally as orchestrated by our illustrious leaders Obama and his “yes man” John (Broke leg) Kerry. If you went out and solicited 2 individuals more toxic to our way of life you couldn’t find 2 people more suited than these idiots. This truly is an example of an idiocracy.
Patriots let’s go through a short history of Cuba to refresh peoples memory. Cuba was colonized by the Spanish and developed into a port plus agricultural hub to grow tobacco, sugar cane and other commodities. This island country became successful under Spanish rule but yearned for an independent Cuban government. They fought a couple of times for independence from 1868-1878 to no avail (nationsonline.org). Then with American support during the Spanish-American War of 1898, Cuba won it’s independence. That is the war where Theodore Roosevelt and his rough-riders stormed up San-Juan Hill and defeated the Spanish. So in effect Cuba’s independence was due to American influence.
Skip over many despots and dictators some of which were US backed such as Batista who was overthrown by our favorite dictator Fidel Castro. Fidel Castro was a charismatic anti-US revolutionary who seized power Jan. 1 1959. (www. nationsonline.org) On April 16,1961 Castro decided to convert Cuba to a one party system (Marxism/communism). How does that work? You vote for us or we shoot you in the head. Don’t you love this type of democracy, I think this is the type of democracy our beloved leader wants for this country.
Anyway I Digress. Back to business. After Castro converted Cuba to communism the relations between US and Cuba deteriorated rapidly. The US imposed an embargo October 9th of 1960 and broke diplomatic relations on Jan 31, 1961. This was in response to Castro’s expropriations (taking land and businesses from US citizens) without compensation and other provocations such as arrest of US citizens.
Shortly thereafter the Cubans were in collusion with the Soviets. This collaboration led to the Soviets putting nuclear missiles sites in Cuba. Russia of course lied (like all communists do) and said “we know nothing about nuclear missiles”. Does this sound familiar; Obama’s recent Iranian deal, our enemies lie but our current leaders give us the worst deal in history? Well John F. Kennedy didn’t blink in his negotiations with the Soviets and threw up a naval blockade to stop their aggression. The Soviets backed off and signed a treaty to allow for dismantling of the missiles if we agreed not to invade Cuba in October of 1962. This is an example of a good and competent American leader.
Since this time Cuba and the US have had almost no relations with their communist neighbor just 90 miles off our border. They have been sponsoring many terrorist groups around the world such as Hezbollah and many other Marxist backed terrorist groups in Central and South America.
Patriots does this sound like the kind of country you would want the US to normalize relations with? On top of this my prediction is Obama will release all of the prisoners out of Guantanamo Bay (our naval base in Cuba) but in addition he will give the base to Cuba as a goodwill gesture. Remember Cuba is still being ruled by the same dictators Raul and Fidel Castro as in the days of the Cuban Missile Crisis. Doesn’t it seem like a good idea to you?
